Sun, Sep 20Birth of Imam al-Ḥasan al-ʿAskarī (a)The birth of the eleventh Imam in Madīna in 232 AH. He would spend most of his short life under surveillance in Sāmarrāʾ, and he is the father of Imam al-Mahdī (aj).

Tue, Sep 22Passing of Ibrāhīm, son of the Prophet ﷺ (narration)One of the dates narrated for the death in infancy of Ibrāhīm, the Prophet's son by Māriya. The Prophet ﷺ wept at his grave and said that the heart grieves and the eye sheds tears, though the tongue says nothing displeasing to God. When some claimed the sun had eclipsed that day in mourning, he corrected them: the sun and moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone.
Wed, Sep 23Birth of Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr (r)The birth of a companion raised in the household of Imam ʿAlī (a) after his mother, Asmāʾ bint ʿUmays, married the Imam. He remained devoted to ʿAlī (a) through the conflicts of the period and served as his governor of Egypt, where he was killed in 38 AH.
